Taiwan Photographers: The Magazine
Hello Taiwan Photographers!
I have some exciting news for you. Over the past three weeks, I’ve been meeting with a group of people from a Taipei commercial design studio who are interested in putting together a magazine that features photography from our community of ‘Taiwan Photographers’. This opportunity will embrace photographers of all calibers and styles. Although we haven’t decided on a name for our magazine yet, we are hoping to nail down these details within the next few weeks. Feel free to leave a comment if you have any suggestions for the time being.
I would like to extend this opportunity to everyone in our group. We are looking for photographers to contribute content to help us create a prototype that can be used to approach our publishers. Taiwan Photographers.com is based on a number of key themes, such as urban lifestyle and culture, design, scenic places, nature, and people. The magazine will do the same, but themes will change with each issue. To begin, we will be keeping the prototype as simple as possible. We are looking for photos to represent the following themes:
• Culture shock
• Religion
• Night photography
• Surrealism
• Food and drinks.
• Street photography.
NOTE: Please TAG your photos on Flickr with the appropriate theme.
We will be drawing from our group pool on Flickr. For the time being, if you are interested, all you need to do is upload your photos to our Flickr group and tag them with one of the above theme categories. We will contact you if your photo fits our requirements.
If you would specifically like us to review your work, please send us an email along with the URLs of your Flickr photos for each theme. You will be contacted if we decide to use your photo(s) in the prototype.
I would like to stress that you will absolutely retain all rights to your work and your photos will not be used without your permission.
Please feel free to get in touch with us if you do not want to be involved in this project. Alternatively, you can let us know of your wishes if you are contacted about your work.
Should you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me.
With kind regards to you all,
Carrie Kellenberger
