“This picture was taken behind the temple near the Giant Buddha of Chang-hua. This little white buddha is only a few feet tall, so I had to lay down on the ground to take the picture.
I lived in Taiwan from 1997~ 1999. I came back for another stint in October 2006. I’ve always been interested in photography and I’ve been dabbling with posting photos online for quite some time. Since March of this year I’ve been working on my own Photo Gallery Web Site “FotoZon” using experience from my day job as a programmer. I also host the Taiwan Photo of the Day web site, which is a collection of photos from different photographers, some of which are already featured on your site. I’m always looking for new contributions, so I encourage all Taiwan Photographers out there to post a few of your pictures of Taiwan.”

David Reid has been traveling and living in Asia since 1999. He currently resides in Taipei County, Taiwan. David writes a popular and extremely informative blog on life in Taiwan at David on Formosa.
David is also part of a two man team who host Taiwanderful, a community based website on life in Taiwan.
